Vancleave, Mississippi

Nestled on an 80 acre family farm in South Mississippi, grow the sweetestmost succulent grapes in the South... known as muscadines.

Since 1975, Jack and Peggy Hoover have lovingly planted, tended and harvested five hybrids of these juicy purple and bronze beauties for friends and family.

Each year for two to three weeks (based on crop growth) the vineyard is open to the public for a “pick your own” event. Families bring their own buckets and pails to carry home the prized fruit and turn them into jams, jellies, wine, even ice cream, cobbler and pie.
